Let Accurate Auto Center Clean Your Fuel Injectors

If you are having any of the problems discussed below with your car, truck, or UV, it’s time to let Accurate Auto Center clean the fuel injectors. The issues discussed in this blog post point to leaking or clogged fuel injectors. Allowing our certified technicians to clean the injectors does a much better job of removing the carbon deposits than OTC cleaners do.

Misfiring Engine

As you already know, the injectors spray fuel into each cylinder so the engine can produce combustion. If the injectors get clogged with carbon deposits, the amount of fuel sprayed into the cylinders will be compromised. Consequently, you may have a couple of cylinders that will not fire during the process of combustion. This will make your engine misfire.

Rough Idling

When the engine misfires, the idling gets very rough. This is easy to notice if you are stopped at a stop sign or red light. Unfortunately, if the clogs in the injectors are serious, your engine may actually stall. To make things worse, you may not be able to get your engine started after it stalls. We will talk more about a dead engine below.

Poor Efficiency

As you can see, the clogged injectors can create huge problems in the engine. A side effect of the engine problems is poor fuel efficiency. Your vehicle cannot get good gas mileage if the engine is misfiring and idling roughly. Even though the engine performance is poor, the engine will use more fuel. Consequently, you will lose your fuel efficiency.

Sporadic RPMs

The fuel injectors can also start to leak if they are old and cracked. When this happens, extra fuel leaks into each cylinder. When the spark plugs fire the fuel, your RPMs will surge and your engine may surge. You can see the surge in RPMs reflected on your tachometer needle. The needle will bounce up and down to reflect the sporadic RPMs the engine is making.

Dead Engine

Finally, as mentioned above, you may end up with a dead engine if the injectors are clogged. This can happen if your vehicle stalls while you are operating it or when you first try to start it up. Unfortunately, if you cannot get the engine to ignite, you will have to have your automobile towed to our shop. Once here, we will fix the injectors for you.
